The Saturday Club Inducts New Board of Directors
The club also announced its member of the year.
WAYNE, PA – May 27, 2014 – The Saturday Club concluded its 2013-2014 membership year on May 15th with its annual spring luncheon at Gulph Mills Golf Club. The luncheon serves as a culminating celebration where members gather to commemorate their achievements in helping women and children in the region. The celebration began with shopping and cocktails and mingling on the terrace. Vendors included Stella and Dot, Nic and Vic, CPC, Gracelina, Tibbar Tibbar, Honey Organics, Athleta, Louella, and MQ Dwyer Paperly. Shopping and cocktails was followed by the Club’s Annual Meeting. Board members shared recollections from the year’s events and thanked the membership for their hard work.

The luncheon also honored member Geri Laskus-Barends as the Member of the Year. According to the Club’s president, Nissa O’Mara, “Geri has consistently offered assistance or support in any capacity, and contributed wherever and whenever she could. She was also an integral part of the inaugural Main Line Talent Show. Geri's enthusiasm and dedication embodies the qualities of The Saturday Club.”
The luncheon concluded with the induction of its 2014-2016 Board of Directors, listed below. These ladies will lead the Club towards continued philanthropic success.

The Saturday Club of Wayne, Pennsylvania was established in 1886 and is among the oldest women’s clubs nationwide. A non-profit organization, The Saturday Club is dedicated to providing philanthropic support to women’s and children’s charitable organizations in the greater Philadelphia region with both financial contributions and volunteer service hours. The group celebrated its 128th anniversary in March.
