Vulgar Messages Shown On Delaware County Road Sign: Reports

After crews fixed the hacked digital sign on Interstate 95 Sunday, it was reportedly hacked a second time to show the same vulgar message.

A digital road sign on Interstate 95 in Delaware County was hacked to show a vulgar message Sunday, May 13 not once but twice, according to reports.

NBC10 reports a digital traffic sign on Intestate 95 south at Exit 8 in Ridley Park was hacked to read "Delco Suck JS D*** DC."

After crews working in the area reset the sign it was then hacked again, according to NBC10.

Following the second hacking the sign was turned around to face a wall so drivers were not exposed to the vulgar language, according to Philly.com.

The message was discovered at about 9 a.m. Sunday, according to 6ABC.

While the sign is being used as part of a PennDOT project, it is owned and operated by the contractor working on the project, Action News reports.

PennDOT is working to find out who hacked the signs and how it happened.
