STRAFFORD, Pa. – Woodlynde School recently welcomed two new members to its board of trustees: former parents Peter Classen of Radnor and John Williams of Paoli.
Classen is the former executive vice president of regional presidents for PNC Bank, from which he recently retired after 28 years of service. A graduate of Lafayette College, Classen also serves on the boards for The Franklin Institute and Economy League of Greater Philadelphia.
Williams joins Woodlynde's board of trustees with over 33 years of experience in the financial services industry. A graduate of Roanoke College, Williams currently serves as the senior vice president of wealth management at UBS Financial Services in Conshohocken.

Woodlynde also appointed four new officers to the board: Maryann O'Conor, chair; David Hartzel, vice chair and treasurer; Jean Earhart, secretary; and Marc Balcer, advancement chair.
O'Conor, of Berwyn, has served on Woodlynde's board of trustees since 2008 and is the parent of a 2007 Woodlynde graduate. She is a recently retired manager at Procter & Gamble with 37 years of experience in consumer products marketing.

Hartzell, of Narberth, currently works for Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. where he serves as managing director of investment banking and runs Oppenheimer's Business Services Group. A parent of a current Woodlynde student, Hartzell is very active in youth sports and has coached both of his daughters' soccer teams.
A Woodlynde board member since 2012, Earhart, of Collegeville, is the parent of a 2013 Woodlynde graduate. She has been an active volunteer at Woodlynde since 2004. She also serves on the parent association board at Academy of Notre Dame de Namur and volunteers at St. Eleanor's Church in Collegeville.
Balcer, of Wayne, is the parent of a current Woodlynde student and the school's cross country team coah. He is a former investment manger and founder of Bluefin Investment Management in Berwyn. Balcer is a graduate of Haverford College and is currently pursuing a master's degree in nonprofit leadership at the University of Pennsylvania.

Balcer is a graduate of Haverford College and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Pennsylvania.
