11 Hurt In Roxborough Deck Collapse: Police

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – Eleven people were injured Saturday after a deck collapsed under them in Roxborough, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said the incident occurred at 8:45 p.m. at the Anthony Lane Apartments on the 8800 block of Ridge Avenue.

Sixteen people were on the deck when it collapsed according to police.

A 54-year-old male and a 51-year-old female were taken to Roxborough Hospital with back and arm pain, police said. The man and woman were the home owners, police said.

The nine other people injured suffered non life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Representatives from the city's Licenses and Inspections department are looking into the incident, police said.
