"I love the Manayunk Arts Festival. It’s Manayunk at its best," said Manayunk Development Corporation Executive Director, Jane Lipton. "The fact that the festival is going stronger than ever after 29 years is a testament to the artists, the business community that hosts this event every year, and to the folks who visit and support the artists by purchasing their work. As Philadelphia’s largest outdoor juried arts festival, it’s always one of our region’s best weekends of the year."
Leading up to the big event, the Manayunk Development Corporation is hosting a night of art en plein air as part of their Stroll the Street event series on Thursday, June 21. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Main Street will be lined with artists painting and live music, and Cotton Street (between Main and Cresson Streets) will be filled with food trucks and other activities.
