Area Man Steals Radio Controlled Helicopter: Report
The man stole the pricey choppers from a local 7-Eleven.

LANSDALE, PA - A Lansdale man was arrested on December 23 after stealing two radio-controlled helicopters from a 7-Eleven on two separate occasions, according to a report.
Darnell Farrell, 47, of South Line Street, who had already been convicted of retail theft twice, allegedly stole the first helicopter on December 15 and the second on December 17, The Reporter said.
Farrell took the chopper, valued at $99, from the store on 651 W. Main Street, according to the report.

He appeared to have a female accomplice who distracted the cashier on one occasion, but she has not been charged.
When confronted at his residence, Farrell admitted to the thefts, but said that he had already sold the choppers in Norristown.

A hearing is set for January 8.
