Armed Robber Hit Roxborough Bank Last Week, Authorities Say
The Ridge Avenue TD Bank branch was hit Wednesday, Jan. 17 by an armed robber. A reward is being offered for info leading to his capture.
ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA – Authorities in Philadelphia are on the hunt for an armed robber who hit a Roxborough bank last week. A reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
The FBI/Philadelphia Police Department Violent Crimes Task Force said the TD Bank branch at 5501 Ridge Ave. in Roxborough was hit by an armed robber at about 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
The suspect, a black male, entered the bank branch, went to the teller, pulled out a black revolver handgun, and demanded money, authorities said.

After he got an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot heading north on Ridge Avenue then went west on Seville Street, according to authorities.
He is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s standing about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build.

During the crime, he was wearing a black puffy coat, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, a hat, and gloves, according to the Violent Crimes Task Force.
