Ben Franklin Bridge, Boathouse Row To Be Lit Teal for Ovarian Cancer Month
Several iconic landmarks around the Philadelphia area will be illuminated in teal for Ovarian Cancer Month.

PHILADELPHIA, PA– The Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation (SROCF) will mark National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in September with its annual “Get Real With Teal” campaign, they announced in a press release.
Throughout the month, several iconic buildings in the Greater Philadelphia region including the Ben Franklin Bridge, Boathouse Row, One Liberty Place, Two Liberty Place, and Symphony House, among others will be illuminated in teal, the official color of ovarian cancer, to help generate support and awareness for the thousands of women and families affected by the disease, the organization announced.
This year, 22,000 women of all ages will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer, yet there is no single, reliable, easy-to-administer screening test or cure. With the “Get Real With Teal” campaign, the Foundation aims to raise awareness and bring attention to an important cause, the release states.

We want our voices amplified throughout the community to call attention to this often silent disease.”
