A Bloomsburg University baseball player has been told to hit the showers permanently after posting a tweet Friday about Philadelphia Little Leage star pitcher Mo’ne Davis that many have called vulgar and insensitive, NBC 10 reports.

First baseman Joey Casselberry has been dismissed by the Bloomsburg Huskies in response to his message criticizing the news that the Disney Channel will produce a movie based on Davis. The former Methacton High School player used a derogatory word to question the announcement. Casselberry’s Twitter account was deactivated Saturday night, philly.com reports.

Davis grabbed the national spotlight last summer after becoming the first girl to pitch a shutout win in the Little League World Series for the Taney Dragons. The team was eliminated from the world series with a 6-5 loss to Chicago’s jackie Robinson West.
