Bomb Squad Detonates Package In Center City Philadelphia: Report
Blocks of Market Street were closed in Center City Philadelphia Friday afternoon when a suspicious package was discovered.

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Police activity has shut down blocks of Market Street in Philadelphia due to a suspicious package, 6 ABC reports.
According to NBC, PVC pipe with wires on each end was discovered outside a Center City fire station on 21st and Market.
The bomb squad, Philadelphia Police, and Philadelphia Fire Department were all on hand as the bomb squad detonated the package.

NBC reports that the package had fallen off of a construction truck.
Market Street is closed between 21st and 22nd streets to both foot and vehicle traffic, police said. The public is asked to avoid the area.
