7 Favorite Hidden Spots In Roxborough/Manayunk

In my 10 years here I've "discovered" many spots in the community that are fascinating, beautiful, or simply indicative of the type of neighborhood we live in (and yes, I clearly was more Christopher Columbus here, finding something the natives already knew existed). In no particular order, my 7 favorite hidden spots in Roxborough/Manayunk.
Feel free to add your own in the comments!
1. The dog park at —I don't even own a dog, but I enjoy visiting this spot from time to time. Bring an adult beverage, chat with the neighbors, or just to watch the dogs play... this is a gem for the community.

2. ANYWHERE off the main trail on the Wissahickon Trails.—It's amazing the places you will wind up when you simply get off the main trail: There are literally dozens of interesting finds, overlooks, natural and man-made things that keep you coming back for more.
3. —It's in a tricky corner of Roxborough/Manayunk, parking can really suck, but it's safe, friendly, and beer heaven. I don't get there often enough...but I always enjoy my time when I do.

4. Daisy Field Park—Not sure what the name actually is, but this hidden beauty is nestled between Quentin Street and Hermit Lane... great place to take younger children to play, shady and cool in the summer. A bit like Gorgas Park, but without the crowds!
5. —New and used CDs at reasonable prices, knowledgeable and (sorta) friendly staff, always willing to introduce you to your next favorite band.
6. —I can only say: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! My child's two years there prepared him so well for school, the staff was so attentive and kind, the facilities comforting (if worn)... I cannot recommend God's Garden enough. (And for you atheists out there, the religious aspects are toned down—your child won't be indoctrinated or brainwashed)
7. The neighborhood between Ridge Avenue and Manayunk Avenue—Wander around, take a moment to see what's there...I've spent many hours just strolling through—it may be the definition of what a neighborhood is.
