Philly's Winnings at Penn State
The Philadelphia FFA Chapter made a huge impression at the 2011 Pennsylvania State FFA Week.

This year at the Pennsylvania State Future Farmers of America Week Convention, that was held the week of June 14, the Philadelphia chapter let it all out. We had nearly 80 Philadelphia chapter members attend this year, competing in everything from Floriculture, to Dairy Judging, to Aquatics.
Our members have studied all year for their competitions, and this year they did not disappoint. Our Landscape Design team placed first in their competition. One competitor on that team, sophomore Andre Phy, placed first as an individual in the whole Landscape competition. Our Livestock team placed second in their competition as well.
Both of these teams will be representing the Philadelphia chapter at the National FFA Convention in October. Another member, Chet Carter, placed first in the Meat Judging Competition.

A past member of the Philadelphia chapter, Jenna Moser, made our chapter proud at FFA Week. She became the 2011-2012 Pennsylvania State Reporter, making her the third Philadelphia chapter member to become a State Officer. She will serve throughout the state this year, and we know she will keep making our chapter proud.
