Burglar Hit Roxborough Home While Family Slept: Police

Police said the man seen here broke into a Paoli Street home while the family inside slept, stole credit cards, then used them nearby.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — A Roxborough home was broken into while the family inside slept, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said the break-in occurred at about 1 a.m. Tuesday at a home on the 200 block of Paoli Street.

Taken were credit cards and addition other items, police said.

Police said the victim reported his credit card was then used at Roxy Gas Station, 7728 Ridge Ave.

Security footage from the business showed a man enter the store at 1:58 a.m. and use the victim's credit car to buy various items.

The suspect was driving a dark Chrysler 300 and was last seen heading south on Ridge Avenue, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man with a medium build, full beard, and was wearing stone wash jeans and black sneakers.

He also has two tattoos on the inside part of both forearms, police said.
