Car's Wheels, Rims Stolen In Manayunk

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – Police are looking into a series of wheel and rim thefts in Manayunk that have occurred recently, and one user on Reddit posted photos of one of the targeted vehicles.

Reddit user "argsst" posted a photo to the Philadelphia subreddit showing a an Audi RS7, valued at about $110,000, vehicle siting on cinder blocks without wheels.

The user said this particular vehicle was located on Churchview Street at Tower Street in Manayunk and that he snapped the photo at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27.

The user said that was the second vehicle he's seen like that in a week.

He said the first one he found was on Cresson Street right by Pennsdale Street on Monday, Sept. 25. That vehicle, he said, appeared to be a newer model Honda vehicle.

According to CBS Philadelphia, there have been at least three other wheel theft incidents in recent weeks in that area.

Police told the outlet increase patrols are planned for the area where vehicles have been targeted.
