Center City Mural Collapses, Smashes Two Cars Monday, Report Says

Monday's strong winds brought down a section of a mural in Center City, damaging two cars that were parked below it.

According to Philly.com, a portion of the mural at Hahneman University fell onto two cars, but luckily no one was injured.

The outlet reports roughly 400 square feet of the mural called Independence Starts Here fell Monday at about 10 a.m.

Pieces of masonry foam stucco fell, hitting two vehicles parked in the lot below it.

Crews are working to ensure the rest of the mural at Broad and Race streets is not affected by the winds and police have cordoned off the area, the outlet reports.
