Cop Involved In Road Rage Shooting In Roxborough: Reports

According to reports, an off-duty police officer shot at a scooter driver after the scooter driver shot into the officer's vehicle.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — An off-duty Philadelphia Police officer was involved in an apparent road rage shooting Thursday night, according to reports.

The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on the 7600 block of Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, according to Action News.

Fox 29 reports the off-duty officer was driving on Ridge when the driver of a scooter fired shots into the officer's vehicle.

The officer fired back, and the scooter driver fled the area, leaving the scooter behind.

It's unclear if the scooter's driver was hit; the officer was not injured.

Authorities believe the scooter's license plate was stolen from a motorcycle and that the shooter may have been involved in an earlier robbery.
