Customers Attack Employee During Brawl At Philadelphia Wawa

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Philadelphia Wawa was the scene of a recent brawl caught on camera when several customers tried to fight an employee.

It's unclear what caused the customers, whom policebelieve are related, to become agitated, 6 ABC reports.

A man who happened to witness the event came to the defense of the female employee when it became clear she was in danger, the video shows. The witnesses then begin fighting that man.

Throughout the encounter, members of the disgruntled family, including at least three men and three women, threw food and merchandise across the store at the employee and the man. One of the family members is shown going around from aisle to aisle, picking up bags of chips and dropping them on the ground.

The man filming the video seems to suggest that the group is intoxicated.

The incident took place at the Wawa located on Torresdale Avenue and Levick Street.

Police are investigating, 6ABC reports.
