Don't Miss An Evening to Remember!

Join the Church of St. Alban to remember and honor special women throughout their history, on Saturday October 13th from 6 to 10.

The Church of St. Alban has been a staple in Roxborough’s community for over 150 years. That puts the church's foundation before the Civil War, and a solid six decades ahead of Women’s Right to Vote. The Church of St. Alban is proud of its Episcopal beliefs, which have allowed women pastors for over 40 years. But this celebration is not about Episcopal clergy, the church’s long history, or St. Alban’s thriving congregation. This celebration is to honor the legacies of the Roxborough women who, through their generous estates, have kept the Church of St. Alban going for all these years.

An Evening to Remember invites history buffs, neighbors, friends, past congregants, and future congregants to come and celebrate with us! As we all know, in this day and age it takes a lot of work to keep small community groups thriving. This event allows us to remember and celebrate the contributions of special women who have affected our past, our present, and our future.

The evening will include a buffet dinner, wine & beer, some photos and artifacts, a plaque unveiling, and lots of dancing and fun!
