Elevator Crashes At Philadelphia Justice Center, At Least 1 Injured: Reports
BREAKING: One woman has been reported injured after an elevator crashed at the Philadelphia Justice Center Thursday morning.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — An employee elevator at Philadelphia's Criminal Justice Center crashed on Thursday morning in Center City, according to multiple media sources.
The incident occurred just after 10 a.m. Thursday, reports state.
At least one woman who worked at the facility and was on the elevator was injured and was taken to the hospital, according to Philly.com.

Eyewitnesses told NBC 10 that something appeared to have fallen down on top of the elevator and "exploded,"
"fell down on top of the elevator" and "exploded or something." She described the sound as an explosion, but said she had no idea what happened otherwise. She was in the elevator at the time, according to officials.

The elevator ended up in the basement. It's unclear how far it fell, the report states. Individuals on the 11th floor reportedly said they could hear the "explosion" when the elevator fell.
The elevator is located in a secure area in the back of the Justice Center.
