One day workshop!
Introduction to painting with pastels. Learn about the medium of soft pastels and different techniques in using this colorful medium.  We will discuss pastel papers, famous pastel artists, and the different types of pastels. We will be using soft pastels, not wax pastels or cray pas but I will teach the difference between them.
Supplies: large sheet of pastel paper (or 2 small sheets).  Choose any dark color paper. You can find this at Michaels or AC Moore.
One soft paint brush and a small container for water.
If you have soft pastels bring them but if not I will have some for you to try. Bring a photo for inspiration or you can work on a still life that will be set up.
