FBI Philadelphia Warns of Scammers Posing as Agents
The caller ID says "FBI Philadelphia" and the caller, claiming to be an agent, demands money.
The FBI's Philadelphia field office is warning that the public about a new scam spreading across the region in which callers claim to be federal agents and demand money.
Officials said that scammers manipulating technology to make the FBI's Philadelphia office phone number pop up on Caller ID.
Callers then typically make some kind of monetary demand of the victims, claiming that a warrant is currently out for their arrest for some type of mundane infraction.

The FBI said that they never call demanding money and that anyone receiving a call of this nature should hang up immediately and report the incident.
