Friends Of Dobson In Manayunk To Celebrate Earth Day With Groundbreaking
Dobson School's exciting new project will have a groundbreaking on Earth Day Friday.

MANAYUNK -- The Friends of Dobson invites the public to celebrate Earth Day Friday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at the Woodland Walk, James Dobson School, 4667 Umbria St.
Joining in the groundbreaking ceremony will be Kay Sykora of Destination Schuylkill River and Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. along with Green Space Ambassadors from each homeroom.
This will be followed by a work day Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to noon to implement phase I of the master plan. Help is needed to clean, mulch and plant along the Woodland Walk.

Community service credit can be earned by middle school and high school students who are able to assist on this day.

Friends of Dobson is a registered nonprofit organization that was formed to implement the master plan for open space, physical improvements and ultimately educational supports to the James Dobson Elementary School.
