Gov. Wolf Changes Facebook Profile Photo To Celebrate Gay Marriage

What does Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf think about same-sex marriage? A quick glimpse of his Facebook page will give you an answer.

The governor was one of 26 million people who changed their Facebook profile photo in celebration of Friday’s gay marriage ruling by the Supreme Court.

His new profile picture garnered plenty of feedback, with more than 300 comments, most in support.

“I’m so proud I voted for you,” one Facebook user said. That comment got 200 likes.

“Please use your power and influence to protect all in the LGBTQ community in PA to ensure that they cannot be fired, lose housing or are denied any other right simply because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity,” another commenter wrote, followed by the popular #LoveWins hashtag.

On Friday, in a historic ruling, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favor of same-sex marriage.
