​The Great Wiener Race Is Returning To Manayunk

Lucky's Last Chance is once again hosting its annual dachshund race to raise money for the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society.

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – Lucky's Last Chance in Manayunk will again host its annual Great Wiener Race next week with proceeds from beers and hot dogs sold at the dachshund-running event benefiting the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

The free annual race will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 26 at Lucky's Last Chance, 4421 Main St., Manayunk. Dachshunds and dachshund mixes will begin racing at 7 p.m. sharp.

Every hot dog sold from Lucky's special PAWS hot dog menu will have a $1 donated to PAWS for the entire month on July. Additionally, all proceeds from Neshaminy Creek Brewing beers will go to PAWS at the July 26 event.

Not only will you be able to watch wieners race on July 26, but you will be able to adopt dogs asPAWS representative will be on site with pups who are up for adoption. PAWS reps will also be accepting donations to PAWS during the event.

Attendees will be able to purchase items for both people and animals from sponsors on race day.
