Historical Society​ Honors Veterans and Celebrates 50 Years!

Lynn Trimborn, President of The Roxborough Manayunk Wissahickon Historical Society, cordially invites members, prospective members, and guests to meet a week earlier (due to the Thanksgiving Holiday) on Wednesday, November 15, at 7 pm at The Center of Journey’s Way, 403 Rector St. (between Mitchell and Pechin Sts.). Admission is free. Light refreshments will be served.

The RMW Historical Society will celebrate its 50th anniversary by honoring Revolutionary War soldiers and all the men and women who have served our country since that time. Noted historical educator, tour guide, and reenactor of both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War, Michael “Mike” Jesberger will present a program about the common soldiers who fought in the American Revolution. In addition to sharing eyewitness accounts that took place in the Philadelphia region, Mr. Jesberger will exhibit reproduction-period items, uniforms, and maps.
