PA Home Invasion Leaves Father of 6 Dead, Wife Critical: Reports

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A home invasion in Hunting Park early Monday morning left a father of six children dead and his wife in critical condition, according to multiple media sources.

The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. on the 3700 block of North Seventh Street, 6ABC reports.

Two men armed with shotguns entered the home, maybe through a rear kitchen window, according to Philly.com.

The suspects went upstairs where they found the father and wife, demanded money, and then opened fire, reports state.

The father, 35, died at the scene, while the wife was shot in the face and arm and taken immediately to Temple University Hospital, where she remains in critical condition Monday morning, NBC 10 reports.

The six children, between ages 5 and 13, were unharmed, reports state.

A mask and shotgun were reportedly recovered nearby.
