I-95 N Reopens In Philly After Police Investigation

Pennsylvania State Police closed a portion of the highway to probe a shooting that occurred on Interstate 95 in Philly Wednesday night.

PHILADELPHIA — Interstate 95 northbound in Philadelphia is open again after Pennsylvania State Police investigated a shooting that occurred on the highway Wednesday.

PennDOT said State Police activity on I-95 northbound between Interstate 676-US Route 30 and Allegheny Avenue-Castor Avenue exits has been cleared after troopers scoured the highway for evidence in the shooting that hurt two people.

Two people, a 25-year-old woman and 24-year-old man, were shot while driving on the road Wednesday at about 9:45 p.m., police said.

Both suffered gunshots to their legs

Police said the victims reported a black SUV pulled up to their vehicle and began shooting.
