Judge OKs Drive-Through at Proposed Wendy's

A judge has ruled in favor of a drive-through for the Wendy’s restaurant proposed at Ridge and Roxborough avenues.

The Roxborough Review reports that on Aug. 5, Judge Nina Wright Padilla ruled in favor of the applicants seeking permission for the drive through at the fast food restaurant.

Many residents and local leaders have been vocal in their opposition to a drive through in that location, saying it will increase traffic and threaten pedestrians.

The saga surrounding the proposed Wendy’s began in 2012, when the property owners, the Giovannone brothers, demolished the historic Bunting House to make way for its redevelopment.
