LeSean McCoy Reportedly Likely To Be Arrested Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- The Eagles all-time leader in rushing is likely to be arrested Wednesday for his role in the beatings of his two off-duty Philadelphia police officers at a night club in Old City over the weekend.

Investigators have submitted information to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office recommending criminal charges against LeSean McCoy, including aggravated assault, according to multiple media reports.

The officers involved will not face charges, 6 ABC reports.

The incident took place at about 2:45 a.m. inside the Recess night club. McCoy and three other NFL players became engaged in an argument over a bottle of champagne with the two officers.

The argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation. Multiple videos of the event clearly show McCoy, who now plays for the Buffalo Bills, and his three compatriots kicking and beating the two other men while a large crowd watches and a few try to intervene.

The officers suffered mild to severe bruises and injuries, including broken ribs and a possibly fractured skull. They were both treated at an area hospital.
