Major Fire Battled At Manayunk Building, 2 Alarms Struck

MANAYUNK — A major fire was battled at a building in Manayunk early Thursday evening.

The incident occurred at a structure on Flat Road and Leverington Avenue.

NBC Philadelphia reports that the building is abandoned.

Huge plumes of smoke and flames could be seen throughout the Manayunk and Roxborough area as firefighters arrived at the scene.

The cause of the fire is not yet clear.
