Murder Charge Filed In Fatal Roxborough Shooting: Police
Elijah Deloach, 18, of Elkins Park, was shot and killed by Kione Gary, 23, of Philadelphia, Tuesday night, Philadelphia Police said.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — An 18-year-old man was shot Tuesday night in Roxborough following an argument and the alleged gunman has been charged with murder, Philadelphia Police said.
The incident occurred at about 10:14 p.m. on the 7900 block of Henry Avenue Tuesday, police said.
Kione Gary, 23, was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend inside the apartment that had turned violent, police said.

The girlfriend called her mother for help. The mother called her daughter's two sisters, who were joined by two other men in heading to the apartment to check on the woman, according to authorities. One of those two men was 18-year-old Elijah Deloach, of Elkins Park.
When the group arrived, Gary fired one gunshot at Deloach, hitting him in the chest, police said. The group fled.

Authorities said there was no indication that Deloach or the other man had attacked Gary before he fired the shot.
Gary is charged with murder, possession of an instrument of crime, and recklessly endangering another person.
Court records show he was also charged with strangulation, aggravated assault, and simple assault in connection with Tuesday's incident.
He is being held without bail and is scheduled for a June 10 preliminary hearing, according to court documents.
