Manayunk Business Hit By Burglar: Police
A man in a red St. Joseph's University Hawks sweatshirt got inside the business and then tried to steal from a safe, police said.
MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – A Main Street Manayunk business was hit by a burglar recently, according to Philadelphia Police.
Police said the Verizon store at 4320 Main Street was burglarized early Friday, Oct. 27.
The incident occurred at 5:04 a.m., police said.

The suspect got inside the business by forcing open the front door, police said.
Once inside, he tried to get into the business' safe, but was unable to to break into it, police said.

The suspect then fled the area in an unknown direction.
Police described the suspect as a white man with a short beard who was wearing a red Saint Joseph's University Hawks hooded sweatshirt.
The public should not approach the suspect if he is spotted. Instead, they should contact police immediately by calling 911.
