The fall festival will take over Main Street this week. And we have all the details you need to maximize the festival's fun.

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – The Fall Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival is almost here, as the food-focused fest will take over Manayunk Thursday, Sept. 14. And we have the details you need to maximize your fun at the event.

The festival will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 and will feature more than 70 eclectic food vendors along Main Street.

Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for the festival – which is rain or shine – giving festival goers a chance to stroll through this historic neighborhood and try tastes from various food trucks.

Not only will the festival include all kinds of cuisines; there will be three stages for live music performances. You can stop by the stages at Shurs Lane, Green Lane, and Cotton Street to take in the live tunes from eight different acts.

In addition, festival goers visit Manayunk’s wide variety of shops and restaurants, walk on the towpath along the canal, and explore the Manayunk Bridge.

Aside from driving to Main Street, festival goers are encouraged take other forms of transportation, such as SEPTA, taxis, Uber, Lyft, or riding/walking to Manayunk via the Circuit Trails. Should you take a Lyft car, you can use the promo code "STREAT" for $10 off your first ride. The code is only valid on Sept. 14.

“Our StrEAT Food Festivals have been wildly successful over the last five years, but we wanted to change it up this time,” Jane Lipton, Executive Director of the Manayunk Development Corporation, said. “We welcome the after-work crowd to come to Main Street for dinner. We’re excited to have some of the same great food vendors line the street for our evening edition.”

The festival also serves as a launch party for Manayunk Restaurant Week, which runs from Friday, Sept. 15 to Thursday, Sept. 28.

“I’m also very excited about this fall’s Restaurant Week lineup,” Lipton said. “It’s a great way for people to come to Manayunk and try something new. We’ve had a lot of new restaurants come in since last fall, like SOMO. But, you can never go wrong with Manayunk staples, such as Jake’s and Cooper’s Wine Bar and Bourbon Blue.”

Restaurant Week lets local restaurants highlight exclusive three course meals at $15, $25, and $35 fixed price points.
