Manayunk HS Program For Substance Abuse Recovery Proposed: Report
The lawmaker proposing the school has been charged with three separate DUIs, and says the program is "personal."

MANAYUNK -- A Pennsylvania state senator has proposed a four-year high school program to educate students recovering from substance abuse.
Sen. Pat Browne (R-Lehigh) introduced the plan at the Bridge Way School in Manayunk, which already specializes in educating students that are in recovery, Lehigh Valley Live reports.
The pilot program would probably be launched in Manayunk, the report states. It would be paid for the state Deparmtent of Education and the student’s home district.

Browne himself has been charged with three DUIs and was reportedly accepted into a first time offender rehabilitation program. He said that the program was personal.
