From Natural Roots Foundation, a nonprofit that specializes in sustainable handcrafted wood slabs, to the hip jewelry of Upstream Designs, there's a gift for everyone’s mother. There’s also a rotating line up of food trucks that always guarantees something sweet and something savory at The Philly Mart.

With a mission to support a community of artists, crafters and independent entrepreneurs in a unique environment the founders of The Philly Mart, Renee Pedro and Kiersten Watson Lenat chose Venice Island to give shoppers a fun alternative to the typical retail experience or the boring flea market parking lot by combining a visit to Manayunk, the natural and historical resources of Venice Island, with Manayunk Canal and Fairmount Park's Towpath.

Located between the Schuylkill River and The Manayunk Canal, Venice Island is home to the new 250-seat Performing Arts Center, outdoor amphitheater with athletic courts, a kid's spray garden, and small stations that educate visitors about the four million gallon storm water basin that improves the health of the Schuylkill River. Venice Island is located at Recreation Park, 7 Lock Street 19127
