Come celebrate the longest day of the year in Manayunk! On Friday evening, June 20th, we will multiply our fires and light 12 floating pontoons running the length of canal. Come join the party as we kick off the Arts Festival, enjoy live performances, the Schuylkill Center’s live native animal show, and a special sneak peak of the Invisible River performances. This is a FREE, family friendly event.
The event will kick off at 5 p.m. with a live animal show hosted by the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education. See some of the amazing animals that live in your own back yard up close and personal! Guests will be able to make wishes or affirmations on wishing sticks, which will then be burned in the bonfire. This signifies their intent and goals for their future. Come join us to watch as the blazing fire comes to life in front of one’s own eyes! Also guests will be able to get a special preview of Invisible River- a public art and boating event that celebrates the Schuylkill River.
There is no other way to end the longest day! Let our floating fires fill your evening with family fun.
Don't forget to reserve your wishing stick! You can do so here: http://goo.gl/kf4bZp
