Manayunk ZIP Has 2nd Largest Density Of Millennials In US: Study

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA – Anyone who's been to Manayunk knows it's a hotbed of young professionals. The area is desirable due to its hot nightlife, proximity to parks, and more for young folks.

And it's home to the second highest density of millennials in the nation, according to a new study from Rent Cafe.

The study says the Manayunk ZIP code – 19127 – is 71 percent millennial in terms of residents.

Overall, that's about 4,500 millennials, according to Rent Cafe.

Rent Cafe called Manayunk a "millennial haven minus the hustle of large crowds and congested traffic."

The folks at Rent Cafe To ranked ZIP codes in the 30 biggest U.S. cities by the highest increases in millennial population over a 5-year period, by the largest share of millennials, and by the highest number of total millennials, using the most current U.S. Census population estimates.

Center City west –19102 – also made the list with 60 percent millennial density.

The ZIP with the highest millennial density is the West Loop neighborhood in Chicago with a 73 percent density. Manayunk Has 2nd Largest Density Of Millennials In US: Study

Additionally, two ZIP codes in Kensington made the list of the greatest increase in millennial residents, with 19123 seeing a 33.1 percent increase and 19125 with a 37.4 percent hike over the last five years.
