March Maintenance Continues in McMichael Park

Friends of McMichael have an ongoing clean up

It is spring break for many but the ongoing clean-up continues in McMichael Park. PP&R Cranes were in the park yesterday to partially remover the fallen pine tree near the War Memorial. The truck filled up quickly so the balance of the tree will be taken away in the next week or two. A subcontractor had come in to cut up the tree on the McMichael Street side of the park. Logs are stockpiled there and surrounded by caution tape. Tree service will be back to pick up the log pile. Wires are still down around both of these sites so please use common sense caution when approaching these areas. The Friends of McMichael Park continue to collect debris and fallen branches. Stockpiling of limbs near trash receptacles curbside enable the pick-up trucks to swing by and collect. You can see the many branch piles that have grown over the past several weeks. Some creative play also going on as well. Looking forward to warmer spring temps so people can get out to enjoy the open green space. Thanks to the teamwork of the Friends of McMichael and all who have participated thus far.
