Meet Bruce Springsteen On His Book Tour Through Philadelphia

Bruce Springsteen will bring his book tour for "Born to Run" to the Free Library of Philadelphia in September.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Want a chance to meet Bruce Springsteen in the City of Brotherly Love?

Fresh off a weekend concert in Philadelphia, Springsteen will be at the Free Library of Philadelphia's Central Library Branch on Thursday, Sept. 29, the library has announced.

The Boss will sign copies of his new book, "Born To Run," organizers said. The book was written over a 7-year period by what the library calls the "poet-laureate" of rock and roll.

Springsteen, 66, is a native of Long Branch, New Jersey, and has long had a special connection to his native region. On Sept. 7, his four-hour-and-four-minute-long concert was his longest ever performed in the United States, NJ.com reports.

Springsteen has won 20 Grammys, two Golden Globes and an Oscar.

Tickets are $33 and will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday. The line to enter the building will form at 10:30 a.m. To buy tickets, see the library's page here.
