Meredith Laboon Leads Manayunk Theater's 'Love's Labor's Lost'

Manayunk, PA -- The next play produced by the Manayunk Theater Company will be helmed by a familiar local. 

Meredith Laboon, actor, director, and producer, will direct the Theater's next staged reading, Love's Labour's Lost. 

The Theater's profile of her notes that she is best known for her  portrayal of Betsy Ross at the Betsy Ross House (Historic Philadelphia Inc), and is the Artistic Director of DIANA, an emerging feminist theatre company. 

Meredith was most recently seen in Manayunk at the Venice Island Performing Arts Center, playing Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, the Theater said. 

At the Manayunk Theater Company she directed the first ShakesBEER, Twelfth Night, and The Commedia Cinderella, and has acted in several other ShakesBEER performances. 

According to the Theater, She holds a BA in Theatre/Acting from Temple University, where she assistant directed HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical and served as president of their Alpha Psi Omega chapter. She will next direct Late: A Cowboy Song in September with DIANA.
