Mosquito Spray Announced in Roxborough
Parts of Upper Roxborough will be sprayed Thursday to eradicate mosquitos with West Nile Virus.

The Philadelphia Department of Public Health will be spraying for mosquitos in parts of Roxborough Thursday at dusk.
Spraying will take place on the streets between Wigard Avenue and Spring Lane, and Ridge Avenue and Umbria Street, the Roxborough Review reported.
“We’ve seen more West Nile virus positive mosquitoes this year than we did ALL of last year. Upper Roxborough’s been hit especially hard,” Philadelphia Department of Public Health posted on Facebook. “If you’re in the spraying area and you see our truck, head inside for a bit. The spray is safe; we’d just rather it landed on mosquitoes than on you!”
