ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — A murder charge has been filed against a man who authorities said beat his nearly 100-year-old mother to death in a Roxborough home.
Gary Johnston, 59, of Philadelphia, is charged with murder and possession of an instrument of crime.
According to Fox 29, Johnston was charged after his mother, 96-year-old Bertha Johnston, was found dead in a residence on the 4200 block of Houghton Street Sunday afternoon.
