Mummers Planning Mardi Gras Parade in Manayunk

Mummers parades aren’t just for New Years Day anymore.

The inaugural Philadelphia Mummers Mardi Gras Parade is planned for Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015 in Manayunk, organizers announced this week.

The parade will start at 10 a.m. on Main Street and will feature at least 10 Mummers string bands, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

It will go from Green Lane to Lock Street, NBC10 reported.

The event will be free, sources told CBS Philly, but a $10 passport book good for discounts at local businesses will be offered.
