Few PECO Outages As Record-Breaking Storm Pounds Area
PECO has weathered the blizzard remarkably well.

PECO has weathered the blizzard remarkably well, as outages around southeastern Pennsylvania have been relatively scarce given the magnitude of the storm.
Despite powerful winds and constant snow for nearly 24 hours in many places, only a few pockets of scattered outages had been reported as of about 7:15 p.m.
As of that time, the outage map had only 20 different outages, affecting 142 people in all 5 of PECO’s counties. Most of the outages appeared to affect small pockets of residents, falling in the “1-50” category on the map.

During the summer of 2015, a series of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall left tens of thousands without power, including many frustrated about the slow response time.
PECO has since updated the way that residents can report outages, including a phone number that can be called, a number to text, and an interactive outage map online.
