Pennsylvania SPCA Waiving Adoption Fees This Weekend
While some costs, such as licenses, will still be incurred, you can give an animal a forever home without paying an adoption fee.

PHILADELPHIA – It's time to help clear the shelters at the Pennsylvania SPCA, as the group and NBC and Telemundo are waiving adoption fees for one day only this month.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, you can adopt a pet from the Pennsylvania SPCA with no adoption fees.
You have two locations in Philadelphia to find your new pet, the PSPCA headquarters at 50 E Erie Ave. and the Fishtown center at 1546 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia.

While adoption fees are waived, some others, such a licensing fees, will still be incurred when adopting a pet.
The day is part of a national effort from NBC and Telemundo to help animal shelters across the country provide homes for animals.

According to the Clear the Shelters website, more than 73,400 pets have been given homes through Clear the Shelters events.
