Philly Archbishop On Presidential Nominees: 'Vulgar Lout vs. Robotic Liar'
"A vulgar, boorish lout and disrespecter of women, with a serious impulse control problem; or a scheming, robotic liar."

The Archbishop of Philadelphia has some choice words for the 2016 presidential candidates.
According to Archbishop Chaput, voters must decide between "a vulgar, boorish lout and disrespecter of women, with a serious impulse control problem; or a scheming, robotic liar with a lifelong appetite for power and an entourage riddled with anti-Catholic bigots."
It's part of a column published Thursday by Chaput, which focuses largely on condemning what he perceives as the Clinton campaign's anti-Catholic bias.

Chaput points to Clinton campaign emails recently revealed by WikiLeaks. In particular, he quotes Sandy Newman, president of Voices for Progress, who emailed John Podesta, the head of the Clinton campaign, regarding Catholic opposition to contraception being covered in health insurance.
“There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship,” Newman wrote.

Chaput found the Newman email, along with several others, as strides taken against religious liberty and Catholics specifically.
"Of course it would be wonderful for the Clinton campaign to repudiate the content of these ugly WikiLeaks emails. All of us backward-thinking Catholics who actually believe what Scripture and the Church teach would be so very grateful," Chaput wrote.
Clearly, however, Chaput is no fan of Donald Trump's, either. He made no formal endorsement in the letter.
