Philly's 'Mas Flow' Sentenced For Identity Theft
His various escaped resulted in a net loss of more than $51,000 to the government.

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Looni Guillermo Benitez-Nunez, also known as “Mas Flow,” or “L.D.P.V.”, 32, of Philadelphia, was sentenced Monday to 34 months in prison for stealing someone’s identity, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.
Benitez-Nunez was also sentenced for filing false tax returns in the victim’s name, as well as filing false tax returns in the names of several other individuals,
Benitez-Nunez pleaded guilty on September 8, 2015 to two counts of Social Security fraud, one count of aggravated identity theft, five counts of theft of government funds, and five counts of false claims, according to officials.

Benitez-Nunez used the Social Security number and name of an individual, identified as “L.D.P.V.,” to obtain Pennsylvania identification and to file tax returns in L.D.P.V.’s name. Benitez-Nunez also received tax refunds based on false tax returns filed using the names and Social Security numbers of multiple Puerto Rican citizens. The defendant’s actions resulted in a loss to the government of approximately $51,185.26.
In addition to the prison term, U.S. District Court Judge L. Felipe Restrepo ordered restitution in the amount of $51,185.26, a $1,300 special assessment, and 3 years of supervised release.

The case was investigated by IRS Criminal Investigations, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Social Security Administration Office of Inspector General. It was prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Amanda R. Reinitz.
