Police Warn Of Increased Crime In Roxborough

ROXBOROUGH, PA -- A recent spate of burglaries around Roxborough has residents on edge.

The burglary rate is 60 percent higher thus far in 2016 than it was in 2015, according to Montgomery News.

Police have offered the following tips to residents in the 5th district, covering much of Roxborough,and Manayunk, to stay safe and to protect their property:

• Secure your home: Lock your doors and windows.
• Prevent: Keep valuables out of sight and cover or destroy boxes from new televisions, computers and other electronics before setting them out for trash collection.
• Protect: Report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood to the police. As Jones suggested in his email, “If you see something, say something!”
