President Obama to Campaign for Hillary Clinton in Philadelphia in September

President Obama will return to Philadelphia in September to campaign on behalf of Hillary Clinton, spokespersons for her campaign confirmed.

Reaffirming the importance of the Keystone State in November's Presidential election, President Barack Obama will speak in Philadelphia during a September campaign stop on behalf of his former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton campaign announced Friday that President Obama would speak on September 13. The exact location in the city has not yet been announced.

During Obama's 2008 Presidential campaign, in March, he gave his now famous "More Perfect Union" speech on race at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

According to Clinton spokespersons, Obama's speech "will lay out the high stakes of November's election for Pennsylvania families and encourage Pennsylvanians to register to vote ahead of the October 11 deadline."

During the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia in July, Obama gave one of the event's keynote addresses on behalf of Clinton.

Clinton currently leads Donald Trump by 9 points in Pennsylvania, according to the most recent polls from Real Clear Politics.
