Reading Buddies for Shawmont Elementary

READING BUDDIES NEEDED!

Are you retired and have a few hours to spare? If so, we need you! Come make some new friends at Shawmont Elementary School.

A new Reading Buddy program will take place at Shawmont. Volunteers will work with students to help them become children who love to read. These sessions will be every week for an hour or two.

All volunteers need clearances to participate with this program. If you participated in a Reading Buddy program in the past year or so, you may still have valid clearances. The clearances for Child Abuse and Criminal Check can easily be completed online at no cost. The links are listed below:
